Therapy for Confidence

Confidence is not about becoming loud or fearless. Often it is about learning to trust your own voice, choices, and presence without constantly checking whether you are acceptable.

Moffat helps clients look at the roots of self-doubt and the situations where confidence disappears. The work can be practical, but it also asks deeper questions about shame, comparison, and old criticism.

How this can show up

  • Avoiding opportunities because you expect to fail
  • Finding it hard to speak up, ask, refuse, or disagree
  • Over-apologising or needing permission for ordinary choices
  • Comparing yourself with people who seem more certain
  • Feeling like you have to perform to be valued

What counselling with Moffat can focus on

Sessions can help you understand where your confidence was knocked and what you now believe about yourself. Moffat can support you to practise boundaries, self-trust, and small risks that rebuild confidence over time.

Starting sessions

You do not need to feel confident before coming to counselling. Lack of confidence is a valid starting point.
