Therapy in Kenya

You do not need to have everything figured out before you begin. Therapy can start with what feels heavy today.

I am going to help you by..

Offering a calm, private space where you can speak honestly without needing to perform, minimise, or have the right words ready. We begin with what is happening now, then gently make sense of the patterns underneath it.

My work is steady and collaborative. I will help you slow down the overwhelm, notice what keeps repeating, and find practical next steps that fit your life rather than forcing a formula onto you.

In our sessions we will...

Start with the concern that brought you here: anxiety, stress, relationship strain, grief, work pressure, anger, sleep difficulties, or a season of change that has become too much to carry alone.

We will look at what triggers the pattern, how it shows up in your body and relationships, and what support you need day to day. Some sessions may be reflective; others may be more practical, with grounding tools, communication steps, or small experiments to try between sessions.

My approach is...

Warm, direct and paced around safety. I pay attention to the whole person: thoughts, emotions, body signals, relationships, culture, family expectations and the pressure of everyday life.

You will not be pushed to share more than you are ready for. At the same time, we will be honest about the patterns that are keeping you stuck, so therapy becomes a place where insight turns into movement.

A first session with me feels like...

A clear beginning rather than an interrogation. We talk through what has been happening, what you have already tried, what you hope will change, and what would make therapy feel useful for you.

You can come with a clear goal or with a sentence as simple as, “I am not okay and I do not know where to start.” Both are enough.

I often work with people who are...

Carrying anxiety that has started to run the day, pressure from work or family expectations, relationship pain, anger that feels hard to manage, grief, confidence issues, or a quiet sense of being stuck.

Many people I meet are still functioning on the outside, but internally they feel tired, tense, disconnected, or unsure how much longer they can keep going the same way.
