Therapy for Neurodiversity

Neurodiversity recognises that brains do not all work in the same way. For some people, the struggle is not only the difference itself, but years of masking, criticism, misunderstanding, or trying to fit systems that were not built with them in mind.
Moffat offers counselling for the emotional impact of neurodivergence or suspected neurodivergence. Formal diagnosis should come from a qualified assessor.
How this can show up
- Feeling exhausted from masking or performing normal
- Sensory overwhelm, shutdown, or difficulty with change
- Shame from being called lazy, rude, dramatic, or difficult
- Relationship strain because needs are misunderstood
- Burnout after years of pushing through
What counselling with Moffat can focus on
Sessions can help you understand your needs, limits, strengths, and patterns with less shame. Moffat can support practical coping, communication, boundaries, and the grief that can come with realising how long you have been misunderstood.
Starting sessions
You do not need a diagnosis to talk about your experience. You can start with what daily life feels like.
